If you can afford $10/mo, I would do that. This includes Gulf Arabic, which seems to be what's spoken in Qatar. There don't seem to be as many resources for learning other versions of Arabic, though, so I think you're pretty much stuck with MSA. But you might not be able to understand them as easily as they'll understand you. As far as I'm aware, most people will understand MSA because that's the version the Koran uses.
